CADRA's Final Submission to the Transport Commissioner
Sir Brian Briscoe - Reading's newly appointed Transport Commissioner - has called for residents, businesses and organisations with views and ideas on the issue of traffic and transport in central Reading to come forward during November and December. The CADRA committee has been considering how best to respond to this request. Click here to read the council web page on the subject.
There is no single solution to the transport issues in Reading, so we believe the best approach is for CADRA to highlight the problems and to list the various approaches we believe should be investigated as part of the package of solutions.
After reflecting on some significant response to our earlier draft, we have now submitted the ideas to the Commissioner. You can read this document in full here.
You may also wish to respond direct to the Commissioner as indicated on the Borough Council website, considering the following questions:
- How do transport issues in Reading affect your journey to work or your business
- How does traffic and transport affect the environment of Reading now
- What impact will increases in traffic over the next 10 to 15 years have on the economy and environment of Reading
Feel free to use any of the details in CADRA's response.
