Community First Responders

The South Central Ambulance Service NHS Trust is recruiting volunteers, who will be trained to respond to certain types of medical emergencies while the ambulance is en-route.

A Community First Responder (CFR), under the guidance of the South Central Ambulance NHS Trust, will receive a basic training covering:

• Life Support
• Oxygen therapy
• Use of a defibrillator
• Care of the unconscious patient
• Medical emergencies
• Minor trauma
