Community Responders
The Berkshire division of South Central Ambulance Service NHS Trust is now recruiting volunteers, who will be trained to respond to certain types of medical emergencies while the ambulance is en-route.
A Community Responder, under the guidance of the South Central Ambulance NHS Trust, will receive a basic training covering:
- Life Support
- Oxygen therapy
- Use of a defibrillator
- Care of the unconscious patient
- Medical emergencies
- Minor trauma
