Getting Involved
How can you get involved in CADRA activities?
Become a co-opted member of the committee
We are always pleased to hear from people who would like to give some time to make Caversham a better place to live.
At the moment, we are particularly looking for someone with an interest in planning and having the time to keep up with planning applications and to study the plans and give informed comments on behalf of CADRA.
Help to attract more members
Could you deliver leaflets in your area and talk to your neighbours about joining us - the more members we have the stronger our voice on local issues.
Providing feedback on Consultations
Reading Council conduct many consultations on major transport and planning strategies and projects. By keeping abreast of these, attending the public meetings and giving your feedback to CADRA and to the Council, you can help CADRA formulate a response on behalf of our Membership.
Attend the CADRA open meetings
We hold two open meetings each year with guest speakers covering items of topical interest at the time. Please come to the meetings and bring your friends and neighbours. If you have ideas for future meetings, please let us know. We will be happy to follow up to find speakers on particular topics.
Contact CADRA
If you have any comments, ideas, problems or concerns about anything that is going on – or not going on – in the Caversham and Emmer Green areas, then please contact us and let us know. We will always try to help, as long as it is of general interest to people in your particular area or in the region as a whole. We do not get involved in individual single planning applications or disputes. Email us at info@CADRA.org.uk
