LOCAL DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK

The Local Development Framework includes important decisions for Caversham over the next 15 to 20 years.

CADRA has consulted extensively and liaised with local groups whilst drafting our response. Click to see our final responses to the Development Management Document and to the Site Allocation Document.

The Development Management Document will lead to policies on design, infrastructure and impact on climate change as well as a range of more detailed issues influencing individual planning decisions.

The Site Allocations document considers sites for allocation for employment, housing and other uses as well as designation for protection of open space. It follows consultation early in 2008 to invite submissions on sites appropriate for development or for protection of open space.

Also included is a review of local centres including Caversham and Emmer Green.

Reading Borough Council have published two leaflets which give residents the chance to commment. Both leaflets include a postage-free form which you can fill in. Although the deadline for comments has passed, they are still listening to local opinions, so it may still be worthwhile for you to fill these in.
