READING FESTIVAL 2008

In August 2008, thousands of Reading Festival goers parked in Mapledurham and walked across the Thames on a newly constructed footbridge from the white campsite and car parking to part of the festival site in Scours Lane.

Organisers hoped the footbridge would take some of the pressure off the ferries transporting people between the sites. It has now been disassembled to be rebuilt next year.

CADRA had several meetings with Festival Republic the organisers of the Festival.  Our main negotations concerned parking and traffic flow through Caversham.
